Job Title                      : Translator

Reporting To                : Assistant to the Managing Director

Main Responsibilities

  • Translate written materials accurately and efficiently from English to Arabic and vice versa, ensuring that the meaning, style, and tone of the original text are preserved.
  • Review and edit translated documents to ensure clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.
  • Use translation software, dictionaries, and other resources effectively to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Proofread translated texts to identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Stay updated on linguistic developments, cultural nuances, and industry-specific terminology to improve translation quality and relevance.
  • Manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements, tools, or resources to enhance translation workflows and efficiency.
  • Continuously improve language skills through self-study, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to ILF Group IMS procedures and guidelines at all times

Job requirements

Competency Requirements

  • Fluency in at least Arabic and English, including proficiency in written and spoken communication.
  • Excellent command of grammar, syntax, punctuation, and vocabulary in both source and target languages.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in translations.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness of cultural nuances to ensure accurate interpretation and localization of content.
  • Proficiency in translation software, CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation) etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new subjects, industries, or specialized terminology as needed.
  • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to take on new responsibilities and learn new skills.


  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a translator, either through professional work, internships, or freelance projects


  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred.
