Position Title: Senior Electrical Utility Engineer
Work Location/Term: Riyadh, KSA / Full-time
Supervision: Design review and Supervision, Site management
In Absence Replaced By: Senior Project Manager / Electrical Utility Engineer
Reports to: Construction Director

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
  • Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution networks, lighting, and safety systems, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with other utilities and infrastructure.
  • Lead the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant local codes and safety regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all electrical utility-related matters, addressing client concerns and ensuring their requirements are met.

Job requirements

Competency Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Utility Engineer in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical system design, installation supervision, and quality control processes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, lighting, and safety standards within the context of international PMC contracts.
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and project management tools.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Language Skills: English is mandatory.
  • Professional Experience: 15 years of experience in water utility engineering; Minimum 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Other Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal & written).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring the highest quality of water utility systems.
