Senior Wind Consultant / Engineer (m/f) - Head-Office, Riyadh

ILF Consulting Engineers Saudi Arabia is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Wind Consultant / Engineer to join our Head-Office department in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As a Senior Wind Consultant / Engineer, you will play a crucial role in: 

  • Design and execution of Wind generation projects, including consultancy assignments for large-scale Wind projects.
  • Identification and site assessments for wind sites.
  • Pre-development and bankable feasibility studies for large scale wind farms.
  • Owners Engineer and PMC support during the engineering, construction and operation phases.
  • Preliminary design (including master plan, layout and associated infrastructure) for wind farms.
  • Wind resource and energy yield assessment for wind projects.
  • Definition of basis of design and technical specifications for wind farms.
  • Equipment specification and selection (wind turbine models, foundation design, electrical BoP).
  • Leading the design and implementation of renewable generation system applications.
  • Identifying opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Providing support throughout the project lifecycle from conceptualization to implementation covering diverse technical consultancy services.
  • Pioneering the design of groundbreaking Wind projects that establish the industry benchmark and are strongly focused on innovation, reliability and performance.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and building capacity in the fields of renewable system application, design and commissioning.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Energy Engineering preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Good knowledge in design software’s like (WAsP, WindPRO, between others)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in the fields described above.
  • Relevant experience in renewable power plants project development, engineering and construction.
  • Technical advisory experience (e.g. PMC, Owners engineer, LTA, etc)
  • Good knowledge of IEC, MEASNET and other relevant standards.
  • Experience in wind resource assessments, uncertainty analysis, measurement campaign definition, inclusion of satellite data and long-term data sources, etc.
  • Excellent proficiency in the English language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel and VBA programming.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Project management experience would be an added advantage.
