Welding Inspector (m/f) - PMC - 12021

ILF Consulting Engineers is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that welding processes and procedures meet industry standards and project requirements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of welding techniques and materials. As a Welding Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of welding activities in our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and tests on welding procedures, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Perform visual inspections of welds, identifying any defects or deviations from the required quality standards.
• Review and interpret welding procedures, specifications, and drawings to ensure proper execution of welding activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address any welding-related issues and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welding Inspector or similar role in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in interpreting welding codes and standards such as AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and API 1104.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify welding defects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
