Position Title: Contracts & Project Services Manager

Work Location/Term: Riyadh/KSA PMC Central PMT Office / Full Time

Supervision: Planning Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Document Controllers

Reports to: Project Director


  • Coordinate the activities of the team including Planning Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Document Controllers;
  • Participate in Project planning definition by providing Project contracting and procurement activities, milestones and requirements;
  • Align required on site dates with planning and scheduling engineer;
  • Perform contract administration function for the material and construction contracts including:
    • Drafting contractual correspondence with input/approval of the Client
    • Manage supporting documentation for the approval of Vendor/Contractor progress payments;
    • Participate in project change management processes and prepare variations for approved Variation Orders;
    • preparing contract renewal reminders, amendments, cancellations and extensions and claims;
    • Support Client for the resolution of conflicts and claims with Vendors and Contractors;
    • Perform contract close-out activities
  • Monitor tendering and contracting activities performed by Construction Contractors;
  • Monitor contracting and procurement key performance indicators;
  • Participate in periodic review/comparison meetings regarding progress, budget, schedules and forecasts;
  • Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination through frequent meetings;
  • Participate in Risk, opportunity and lessons learnt workshops.

Job requirements

Competency requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in international PMC contracts for projects with similar scope and complexity in general and with regards to PMC role in the Project in particular.
  • Hands-on tendering and contract management experience;
  • Clear understanding of contract management needs throughout all phases of project development for mega projects including multitude of project stakeholders with different objectives and needs;
  • Good knowledge of computer-based systems including, Microsoft Office applications and planning tools (like Primavera or MS Project).

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management or similar field from Western accredited University; Master's degree and/or professional accreditation from IACCM, FIDIC kind of contract management associations preferred.

Language skills: English is mandatory

Professional experience: BSc+ Over 15 years’ experience or MSc+ Over 12 years’ experience in comparable projects with similar contract and project services management role;

Other skills:

  • Experience in coordinating the input and contributions from various technical and project management disciplines into the contract management process;
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal & written) and in particular clear and non-confrontational contractual language in verbal and written communication.
  • Proactive approach in anticipating and pre-empting contractual issues.
  • Systematic thinker and good organizational skills/ time management.
  • Team player within and across functions.
  • Sensitive to Client’s requirements and Client-focused.
